28 June 2024

In April 2024, the Slovenian Port of Koper (Luka Koper) inaugurated one of the largest solar power plants in Slovenia. The 3,3-megawatt (MW) plant, is installed on the roofs of the general cargo warehouses, covers a total of 14.450 square meters (m²), and produces 3,630 megawatt-hour (MWh) annually which is sufficient to supply around 880 households.

This investment marks a significant step toward energy self-sufficiency and supports the port's environmental goals.
