The Port of Bilbao and the Port of Amsterdam in the creation of hydrogen corridors

The Port of Bilbao and the Port of Amsterdam are collaborating to create a renewable hydrogen corridor, with the aim of boosting the hydrogen market and its infrastructure. The ports are also working with other partners to develop this corridor.
Both ports have signed a MoU to develop a renewable hydrogen supply chain from the Basque Country to the Netherlands via the Port of Amsterdam, aligning with the Basque Hydrogen Strategy and Dutch government’s goals. The Port of Bilbao is part of the Basque Hydrogen Corridor a collaboration with other companies to decarbonise the energy, industrial, residential, and mobility sectors and will host electrolysers for renewable hydrogen and a synthetic fuels plant. The Port of Amsterdam is also committed to green hydrogen facilities, notably for aviation. The hydrogen corridor aims to advance and develop the production, transport, and logistics of green hydrogen, contributing to decarbonisation with the goal of achieving net-zero emissions.
